Funnybone

Head sprinkle
Cranial dewdrops sighing in the cool open air
Spilling nightmares into the skies, soaking clouds
In white fire rising in waves like wings
And the wind screamed in a whisper when you kissed me

Blunt trauma

Dying, I fell beneath the horizon
And fell into a coma within your cavern of sweet echoes
Swimming through my unconsciousness
Taking deep breaths of your milk
Sucking on what was left of your last dream
Smearing a crushed nipple against your heart
And coughing

Knots gathering in the rock of my angst
Praying weakly for the blessings of your mouth
The madness of my curled fingers clutching at the promise of your swallow
Sighing and losing breath as if the sky was pulled from under me
Landing hard beneath the weight of your angry talons
And chuckling beneath the rasp of your tongue, even though you were sloppy
Spilling blood everywhere like thin wine splashed on the floor

I smiled while you were killing me
Giving everything like a mindless beast
But knowing with a knifelike mind that it was I who was tearing into you
Exploding your heart in repeating handfuls
Drenched in your surprise
Laughing so hard it hurt

Like I hit you hard
Electrostatic stars wincing and piercing my determination to hold it all in
Before gasping noiselessly, a tear in my eye
Fully aware of my
Funnybone
